Help Katelyn Get to the ISCA East Coast Showcase!
Hi, I’m Cassandra, Katelyn’s proud mom, and I couldn’t be more excited to share her journey with you!
Katelyn has been working tirelessly to qualify for the ISCA East Coast Showcase—a huge opportunity for young swimmers. She’s been waking up early on Saturdays for practice, training three weekdays a week, juggling school (all while maintaining A’s and B’s), and even playing volleyball three times a week. Some weekends, she doubles up on sports, yet she never complains. She loves what she does, goes to bed at 9 PM, eats healthy, and gives it her all, every single day.
In January, she faced a tough moment when she narrowly missed her “A” time cut to qualify for ISCA. But instead of giving up, she stayed focused, listened to her coaches, and pushed even harder. Last week, at the 12U Districts, she placed 2nd in the semi-finals and missed her cut time by just 0.11 seconds. It was heartbreaking, but she didn’t let it defeat her. She pulled herself together for her relay team, took one final shot in the finals, and crushed it—swimming her 50 Back in 36.84 seconds!
Now, Katelyn is officially heading to Florida in April for the ISCA Showcase, and she couldn’t be more thrilled to share this experience with her best friend, Ariya!
We’re reaching out for support to help cover travel and competition expenses to make this dream a reality. Any contribution, big or small, will mean the world to us!
Thank you for believing in Katelyn and supporting her dedication, perseverance, and passion for swimming. Let’s get this girl to ISCA!
With gratitude,
Cassandra & Katelyn
