UPDATE: Kate will be starting chemo February 13. 6 rounds, 3 weeks apart. Because her cancer is rare, there aren't standard protocols, and though her surgery was thorough, her doctors want to be sure they catch any rogue cells that may have been left behind.
Because she's Kate, she's hoping to find some level of normalcy between treatments and work when possible. Because we are her friends, we'd like to do what we can to make that an option and not a necessity. Money makes that possible.
If you can, please consider giving and sharing again so Kate can take this time to rest, watch a lot of tv, and get one step closer to putting cancer behind her.

Last month, our girl Kate went in to have a painful ovarian cyst removed. It turned out to be a rare form of ovarian cancer.
Her prognosis is promising, but she will undergo major surgery with an expected recovery of 2 months... and as a self-employed hairstylist, there's no such thing as paid leave. And then there are the medical bills, which are sure to pile up.
Financial stress will not help her heal, and for the next two months, healing is her only job. (Condolences to your roots.)
The number of people who count Kate as a beloved friend is staggering–so let's all step up and show her that love in action. Help us give Kate, her husband, Court, and their 2 kids some financial peace of mind until we can all celebrate Kate being cancer-free.
