Support Kate Behnen's Battle Against Breast Cancer

Hi, my name is Laura Sadler and I am raising funds for Kate Behnen's medical/health care costs. Kate is my niece and was recently diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC), the most common type of breast cancer. Her gene type markers indicate a more aggressive form, so Kate will begin intense chemotherapy and targeted medication treatment the week of March 17, which will continue over 18 weeks. This will be followed by a double mastectomy. Kate will be in treatment/recovery for the next year or more.

While Kate, my nephew Dave, and their 3-year-old son Wally have an amazing support system and are surrounded by so many people who love and care for them, I know that the coming months will be extremely overwhelming for them. Kate's prognosis is very good, and everyone is so thankful for that! While Kate is in great hands, and her doctors will do everything they can to help with illness that will happen while going through chemo, daily activities and caring for Wally will be difficult. Kate's family, friends, and coworkers are doing everything we can to support her and Dave during this time. To help ease the burden of any financial strain, I would like to collect funds that will go towards Kate's medical costs, or any other needs that may arise.
