I speak for Kate, Jay, and both of their families when I say that we have all been overwhelmed by the incredible love and support for Kate and Josie over the past few days!!

Many of you have reached out to ask how you can help support them during this difficult time. To make it easier for everyone, I've created this GoFundMe page to allocate funds and provide the support they need.

For those that may be out of the loop..

I am reaching out to you today to ask for your support for my sister-in-law, Kate, her husband Jay, and their new baby girl Josie.

Due to a condition called Fetal Growth Restriction (FGR), baby girl Josie was delivered at 29 weeks via C-section at UVA weighing 1lb 13oz. FGR means that the baby did not grow at the expected rate inside the womb. The length of Josie's stay in the NICU at UVA is currently unknown, but we are hopeful she gets to go home with her mommy & daddy as soon as possible. This baby girl is a tiny mighty fighter!

The funds raised will be used to cover the cost of:

- Gas for traveling to and from the hospital (which is 1.5 hours away from their home)

- Food while at the hospital

- Medical bills

Kate will not be working during this time, so any contribution will be greatly appreciated to help them through this challenging period.
