Hi, I’m Margot Welk, and I’m reaching out as a fellow dog/cat lover.
This March, I’ll be returning to volunteer with the Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre (KAT) in Nepal — a place that changed me when I first volunteered there in 2007.
Back then, I met a street dog named Mango. She had been hit by a car and was terrified and injured when she arrived. I remember sitting near her kennel, speaking softly, watching her slowly begin to trust again. The first time her tail wagged felt like a miracle.
KAT creates those miracles every day.
They rescue and treat sick and injured street dogs and cats, run free spay-and-neuter programs to prevent suffering before it starts, and lead community education efforts to promote lasting animal welfare.
I am covering all of my own travel expenses, so 100% of your donation will go directly to KAT to:
• Provide urgent medical care
• Support spay and neuter programs
• Fund community outreach
KAT is registered as a nonprofit in Nepal and the U.S., so donations are tax-deductible.
I would be so grateful for your support. Your donation will help more dogs like Mango get a second chance.
Thank you for helping turn fear into wagging tails.
Note: GoFundMe adds an optional tip that does not go to KAT. You can adjust the “Tip GoFundMe Services” slider to 0% ($0.00) before donating.
