Hello everyone! First and foremost, I apologize as I have never created a GoFundMe before, so please bear with me.
My name is Krissy and I'm asking for help for my sister Kassy. She was recently diagnosed with renal/kidney failure at the age of only 39! She had a life-threatening experience and was rushed to the hospital and will now need to start dialysis right away to protect her other organs from failing.
Since we were kids, Kassy has had nothing but medical problems. At around 12 years old, she had her first seizure while in school and was diagnosed as an epileptic. Around the same time, she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and has to live off insulin as her pancreas doesn't function at all. Due to complications with her diabetes, this has contributed to her kidney failure. She's also been diagnosed with congestive heart failure along with other abnormalities due to all the health problems.
My sister is a strong person with a big heart. Kassy has been working for years at senior care living facilities as a med tech. She loves all her patients that she's had the privilege to meet and take care of over the years. But due to her health and constantly being in and out of the hospital, her job had decided to terminate her, stating she's a liability. Despite all her medical conditions, Kassy has worked long and hard for all that she's got, while internally suffering with her health. Because she lost her job, she ended up losing her home.
I wish I could financially and physically do more for my sister but I can only do so much while living paycheck to paycheck. I still want to try and see if I can donate my kidney to her. So now, as she is about to begin her dialysis treatment and any other appointments, treatments, etc. going forward, I know she will need help and can't do it alone. I am asking if anyone has it in their hearts to donate any amount to go towards her medical bills. And if you can't, that is okay. A simple prayer for my sister's healing will suffice.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
