This GoFundMe page is for Kassandra. Kassandra has always been the one taking care of others. Every day, she travels from one patient to another, giving her time, her energy, and her heart to people who need her most.

But on April 21, everything changed. While crossing a pedestrian lane in the Bronx on her way to care for another patient, Kassandra was struck by a minivan making a left turn. The driver failed to yield possibly distracted and hit her while she had the right of way. The impact was devastating. Kassandra was thrown nearly 10 feet into the air. By God’s grace, she did not hit her head. But her injuries are still severe eight broken ribs and a lacerated liver. She is now in the ICU at Lincoln Hospital, fighting through pain and uncertainty.

The same woman who has been so strong for everyone else is now the one who needs help. Kassandra is not only a healthcare worker ,she is a mother, a daughter, and the backbone of her family. She supports her two children, her mother, and even her father in the Philippines. Right now, she cannot work, and the weight of medical bills and daily expenses continues to grow.
