Support Kasi's Battle Against Breast Cancer

Hello Family, Friends and Supporters,

My sister, Kasi, was diagnosed with Stage 3B metastatic breast cancer that spread to her lymph nodes in December 2023. This was a devastating and shocking diagnosis for a 30 something that had not even thought about having her first breast exam. Her trust in God allowed her to have an optimistic approach for the journey ahead.

Kasi is just past the half way point on an extensive treatment journey involving chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and will continue with immunotherapy along with reconstructive surgery next year. While insurance covers a great deal of the costs, there are many out of pocket costs that are not covered, such as, egg retrieval and storage fees, medication, co-pays (she has averaged four appointments per week this year so far!), cold cap, balance owed from the hospital, monthly health insurance premium, etc. Kasi is on a medical leave from work which has been beneficial in reducing her stress and allows her to attend several appointments each week. However, that came at a cost and she is receiving only a fraction of her pay plus the added expense of paying her own insurance premiums of $500/month.

Our family truly appreciates the prayers, kind words, cards, care packages, and generous contributions that have been sent so far. Many of you have also asked how to help contribute to her medical fees, so we have set up this Gofundme on her behalf.
