Support Kasia

Hi, my name is Julian. I am fundraising for my mother, Kasia, on behalf of our family.

Kasia started having epileptic seizures 3 years ago and requires 24/7 medical treatment. The last seizure occurred on March 4, 2022 - prolonged and resulted in cardiorespiratory arrest and critical brain injury. Kasia has been in a coma ever since. She cannot move and, as far as we know, is unaware of her surroundings. She is a fighter but deals with serious complications - recurrent aspiration pneumonia, sepsis and multiple pressure wounds.

Kasia is breathing independently but has a tracheostomy and must breathe through a tube. She is being fed via a tube in her abdomen and requires supplies such as diapers, pads, products for her skin etc. She is currently stabilizing but remains at the Toronto Rehabilitation Centre.

The costs are mounting- her closest family and friends are doing their best to cover them, but it only gets more challenging. There are plans for restorative dentistry - resuscitation left her with fractured teeth and other problems.

She is not eligible for disability, however, so her medical expenses are around $2000 a month. Any financial support would be greatly appreciated in this time of need. We also ask for your positivity and prayers and to keep her in your hearts.

Kasia jest sparalizowana. Oddycha przez rurke w krtani, odzywiana jest przez rurke prosto do zoladka. Kasia walczy i powoli stabilizuje sie. Najblizsza rodzina i przyjaciele pokrywaja wydatki na Kasi potrzeby na ile moga.
