Kasey is and has been out of surgery as of late yesterday afternoon. The doctor stated that the surgery went well. However, today they discovered a hole in her lung, which means her original five to seven-day hospital stay will now be much longer. She will need to remain under supervision and medical care while her lung becomes stable, and we are all hoping and praying that the hole heals up by itself without another surgery. Since she arrived at the hospital, Kasey has had a chest tube in and is predicted to need it for at least 5-7 days as of now. This timeframe could be extended. She is in a lot of pain and discomfort, but she is maintaining a positive outlook and showing incredible strength through it all.

Kasey is now facing a long road to recovery and will be unable to work for some time. Her husband, Jesse, will also be out of work as he takes care of her. Together, they are raising two children under the age of 13. Anyone who knows her knows that Kasey has a heart of gold and is always taking care of others. Any donation you can make will go directly toward her medical bills and living expenses, allowing her to focus entirely on healing.
