Karthik Ganesan was one of the main priests of Hindu Temple of Delaware serving people selflessly for many years dedicating his service to our Mahalakshmi Temple and newly installed 25 ft Hanuman. Unfortunately he has suffered massive stroke leaving him with complete right side paralysis requiring 24/ 7 care and many months of rehab to be able to recover.

With Blessings of Sri. Maha Lakshmi, our beloved temple priest, Karthik Mama (Gurukkal) pulled through the surgery and is being sent to rehab center to regain some basic movements and skills. He is breathing on his own, he opens his eyes when we touch him, but has long way to go. Let's cheer him on. He dedicated his life to serving the community with devotion, kindness, and selflessness. For decades, he has been there for us—guiding prayers, performing rituals, offering blessings, and providing comfort in our times of need.

Now, he needs our help. He requires long-term care and daily assistance. These expenses go far beyond what his family can manage alone.

By contributing to this fund, you’re helping ensure he receives the dignified care he deserves—covering medical costs, specialized treatment, and support for his well-being. Your generosity will honor his lifelong service and ensure he is cared for with the same compassion he has shown all of us. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.

Hindu Temple set up a separate account to receive the contributions and will contribute some amount to this fund as well. All donations received into this fund will be used for Karthik mama's welfare only. Temple will manage with utmost care and will use these funds with utmost care for Karthik's recovery.

HOW WE INTEND TO SPEND THESE DONATIONS:

All funds collected into Karthik Welfare Fund will be managed by Hindu Temple Executive committee. President will authorize each payment and treasurer will cut the check. We will pay all his bills that are due here and will transfer money to India as necessary to pay bills there and support his family.
