Support Kar's Char: Help Us Overcome Financial Struggles

Hey guys it is James from Kar’s Char, it has taken me a long time to be able to face the facts and do this, but we need help. We have been battling with finances since the beginning of the year when we had that ice storm. The effects of that loss of sales and having to replace all the products that expired over that week drained our backup funds we had to help sustain the restaurant during the slow times. Since then, we have had a great deal of successes financially but not enough to get out of the financial hole that we found ourselves in. We have been operating on a “paycheck to paycheck” scenario for the last couple of months while a couple close friends have graciously helped us by loaning us some finances to help us keep going its not enough for us to sustainably continue the way we are. This is why I have recently started offering cooking classes to hopefully generate more income to keep us going, and it allows me to share my knowledge of a home cook with the rest of our community so that they can learn from the mistakes that I have already made. I have made a Go Fund Me for the restaurant a link in which I will have below to hopefully be able to fill in the financial gaps that we have and to truly start on the path of getting ahead, We don’t want to let this dream go because we truly love serving every one of y’all and we feel that what we have built over this year is something great and we want to continue to do it for the remainder of our lives.

What will these funds do? They will act as a liquid capital to help us get out of this financial hole we are in, it will help us get new things for you all to enjoy, and it will help us with general maintenance and repairs of the restaurant so we can improve it and make it even more enjoyable for you all to enjoy when you come sit at our table. We love every one of y’all and we truly do feel blessed every time you tell us how much you enjoyed your food, and we hope that we can do so for many many years to come!
