My name is Karolina, and I have been suffering from Endometriosis since 2004. Year after year, the pain and dysfunction of this disease worsens. Countless doctors misdiagnosed or dismissed me and said, "it's part of being a woman." I have created a life around debilitating pain and horrible flare-ups for many years. These past two years have been the hardest in doing everything I can to control the pain. Sadly, medicine and doctors are failing me. Living life on a cocktail of over-the-counter drugs, opiates, monthly/weekly injections and weekly emergency room visits isn't a life. Not to mention how endometriosis patients are horribly treated in the ER or Urgent Care. I have spent countless years searching for a doctor who would simply hear me out and help me. I was "officially" diagnosed in June of 2020 due to emergency surgery, and even then, I had to fight to get this taken care of in the emergency room. Unfortunately, I have recently learned that the surgery was not performed correctly by an expert, damaging one of my ovaries. A regular OB/GYN should not be performing this type of surgery unless specifically trained to do so. I have finally found a team that provides me with the care I have been hoping and praying for. They have done the proper testing, imaging and procedures necessary to determine my next course of action.

The following steps are excision surgery. Unfortunately, insurance will not be covering any of the costs. My family and husband have done everything to help me financially during this difficult time, and why I'm asking for help. I know that my goal is lofty; trust me, I get it; this is a multi-organ surgery as the endo has been spreading throughout my body. All of the funds will go towards surgery, and if a donation is not possible, a share will go a long way.
