Support Karma's Journey to Stability

Hello Everyone.

This is Jess. Or as most of us know her as Karma. The backbone of both K160/K168 when she was there and also K178 which is where she is now. What you may not know is her story. Karma always relies on herself because of her past experiences and her life. But she needs our help, and I know her, she isn't going to accept it unless I force the issue myself. So let me explain her story some.

Karma has been going through a lot of things in her life. She is a mom to 4 kids who she raises three of them 50/50 with her ex and another who she raises entirely on her own. Due to the pain she has and lives with caused by 1 of her ex's she is not able to work. He was mostly mentally abusive to her but did physically abuse her once. Karma had surgery on her back for a herniated disc caused by the abuse. The disc has needed to been fused but that's not something she has been able to do. At this point the disc is only bone on bone. She also had her wrist injured during the same abuse. It caused damage but the damage was made worse with a fall. They found a tear in her TFCC in her outer wrist. She had surgery on this also but that did not fix the issue. If she uses that arm to do anything she is in immense pain for days later. The doctors only recently labelled her disabled and are wanting her to go on social security. The problem with that is it takes a lot of time to get it approved. Her most recent ex left her with a lot of bills that needed to be paid by her alone, and due to him not making enough money for much child support her only income goes to rent and food/clothes for her 1 daughter they shared. Because of this she had to pay certain important bills over others and is now at a point where her electric bill alone is too high and they will be turning off her power this week. Her back and arm pain are so bad she had to go see the doctors again. Which is another reason the bills have piled up so badly.

While in theory she can file for bankruptcy and also social security both of these take a lot of time. Time that Karma no longer has. All I ask is that people stop and think for a second about Karma and any impact that she may have had in their life. For me she is a beacon of happiness. She always talks me up and will take a lot of time out of her day to make sure I am ok and doing good. I always try and help her the best I can. So you may ask why am I only now looking to everyone, not just myself, for help. Because she only just told me. Karma lost faith in humanity a long time ago. It is not my story to tell but there is a reason why in FA we try and tell everyone "life comes first" and "no drama in the game, because you never know what someone is going through outside of it". This game is an escape for her. An escape from what she has to live with and through every day.

I will tell another story about it. Back in April NY had a brutally bad ice storm. It damaged the house she lives in very badly and the house still has not been fully repaired. The amount I am asking for may not seem like a lot to some people but it would help give her time to be able to get the social security set up. All that I ask is if you have the means to help you send her whatever it is you can. I know this probably seems out of left field but I want you to stop and think for a second. When was the last time Karma was ok? This has been boiling up in her for awhile, and she has been trying her best to get to a point she could, but it took the doctors too long to label her disabled.

Any and all help with this is greatly appreciated. If I could do it alone I would, but I cannot. I know everyone has their own issues and own life going on. We all use the game as an escape from something. All I ask is if you can help please do. Any small amount will help.
