If you’re reading this, someone you know wants me to be well-fed, reliably housed, suitably clothed, to not miss doses of my necessary medications. I’m sure you can relate to all of these things! This is why I’m fundraising for a target of $3500 to cover attorney fees for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which will help me recover from recent job losses.

In 2022, and again in 2023, I suffered unexpected job loss due to a collision of health factors, workplace bullying, and overall tech work market conditions, and found replacement roles after (each time!) eight months of unemployment. My job loss in 2022 resulted in me losing a $100,000 salary; and in 2023 to 2024, the work I could find was for less pay ($40.50/hr for a 4-month apprenticeship role, then finally, accepting $22/hr after being forced to relocate to my parent’s house). I moved back to Seattle in August 2024-October 2025 to be near superior medical care for my health conditions as well as to be closer to my social support system, but I am still recovering from the financial instability of the past 3 years.

I believe having legal help for Chapter 7 will help me orient towards the security I need in my life, and I hope reading my story moves you, as you are able, to support my fundraiser, so that I may start over financially and recover from the bad cards of the past few years.

For any of you who have been following along and supporting my fundraiser, I made the tough decision to move back to Yakima this October. Due to my ongoing health concerns impacting my ability to perform very simple physical work as well administrative duties, I will be applying for federal disability. The cost of the attorney fees remains $2000 total, and I plan to post progress on this. I will keep the fundraiser goal around $3,500 as I am unable to work for the foreseeable future and this target will help me during the disability application process.

Thank you again for keeping up with my story. ❤️
