Dear BrickHouse Friends and Plant City Residents Respectfully:

It’s been a tough week for one of our staff, which means it’s been a tough week for all of us at The BrickHouse. We would really appreciate all your prayers in helping Kaitlyn and her precious little girl Karleigh get through a VERY DIFFICULT time.

Karleigh has been diagnosed with a Type 4A choledochal cyst in her bile duct. Next week, she will undergo surgery to have her bile duct rebuilt and her gallbladder removed. Later down the road, she will also need a liver transplant. She’s 3 years old and an ABSOLUTE DOLL of a little girl.

This is a very rare condition, and the hospital is flying in a specialist surgeon from Switzerland to engage in this surgery and another specialist to oversee the surgery should the child need the liver transplant right away during the surgery.
