Support Karla Porter and Family After Tragic Accident

Hello! My name is Tracy. Join me in raising funds for my cousin, Karla Porter and her family as they navigate the aftermath of Karla’s husband, Philip Porter’s horrific motorcycle accident that occurred on September 4, 2024, when a car pulled out right in front of him. With mounting medical bills and everyday expenses, they need our support now more than ever. Philip and Karla have three young children at home, Greta, age 6, Troy, age 10, and Archer, age 11. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on their lives and help them find hope in this difficult time. Let’s show them that they’re not alone in this fight.

Here’s what Karla Porter reported to me on September 5, 2024, regarding her husband, Philip:

“Hi. Philip is not doing well. He will be in the hospital for at least a week. Multiple surgeries. Swollen, bleeding artery in neck. Multiple cracked ribs. Right wrist dislocated so badly that they did surgery last night so he wouldn’t lose hand/wrist function. Put pins in it. Maybe more surgery later on tendons. Left wrist has multiple fractures and you can see bone. Left forearm has fractures. Surgery later today. Both hips fractured. Pelvis widened by 4-5 inches more than normal. Surgery next 24-48 hours? Maybe today? Tailbone shattered. Spleen and kidney bruised. Left ankle fractured where you can see bone. Tendons damaged. Can’t move toes or foot. Surgery today. Likely to find more fractures as time goes by as they were focusing on critical areas. We have insurance but no disability short-term stuff. We are already struggling from him losing a couple weeks of work a while back. Now I don’t know what we will do.

Found out last night after surgery number 1 he has some contusions on his lungs and he has to be sedated and on a ventilator. But his oxygen is good with the ventilator...at least 2-3 more surgeries later today.”

This fundraiser is not only to help with everyday living expenses and medical bills. Phillip will also need extensive rehabilitation and possibly some ramps/handicap modifications to home.
