Karla Escalante, my coworker, is facing an unimaginable loss. This morning, she lost her 18-year-old daughter, and her world has been turned upside down. Karla has been out of work for the past two weeks, trying to cope with this tragedy while also caring for her four younger children.

The weight of funeral expenses and daily finances is overwhelming, and she is in urgent need of support from our community.
