On the early morning of March 31st, 2025, after being sick for several days with a flu-like virus, our beloved Karissa suffered a sudden cardiac arrest that changed her life in an instant.

Thanks to the quick thinking and heroic actions of her significant other — the father of their two young boys — who remained calm in a terrifying and chaotic moment and performed life-saving CPR until first responders arrived, Karissa is still with us today. His bravery and love gave her a fighting chance.

Karissa is currently at AdventHealth Heart of Florida in Davenport for high-intensity rehabilitation, and while we are so grateful for her survival, the road ahead is long and uncertain. The emotional, physical, and financial toll of this unexpected tragedy is overwhelming for Karissa and her family.

Karissa is a loving mother to her two sons, Grayson (10) and Talon (6), who are her whole world. Everything she does is for them — working tirelessly to provide for her boys and create a life full of love, stability, and joy. She is the heart of their home, their comfort, and their safe place.

Karissa is also a devoted partner and one of the hardest-working, most selfless people you could ever meet. She is always the first to offer a helping hand. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her and her family in this time of need.

We are raising funds to help cover mounting medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, household bills, childcare, and any additional support for Grayson and Talon while their mom focuses on healing.
