Update (a bit late—thank you for your patience):

I’m so sorry this update is coming later than planned. I’ve been completely swamped with work this week, but I didn’t want another moment to pass without sharing this incredible news.

Because of you—every donation, every share, every kind word—Karis was able to undergo surgery last Monday. I was able to connect with her via text, and she told me the doctors are keeping her in the hospital for a few more days under observation before she can go home. Most importantly, she is doing well and is stable, and that is something I cannot put into words how grateful I am for.

The turnaround on all of this happened so fast, and it still feels overwhelming in the best way. We truly came together when it mattered most, and because of that, our dear friend is now in recovery after a long-overdue hospital stay. This support has lifted such an enormous weight, and I will forever be thankful to this community.

I’ll share another update as soon as I’m able to connect with her again.

We are raising funds to help our dear friend Karis, who has been hospitalized since September 25 after severe pain led doctors to discover she had been experiencing silent heart attacks. Further testing revealed that her right coronary artery is 90% obstructed and extensively damaged, requiring urgent medical intervention.

To treat this life-threatening condition, Karis needs a specialized procedure that requires three drug-eluting balloons and two non-compliant balloons. Unfortunately, the hospital where she is currently admitted does not have these critical supplies, and she has been hospitalized for 3 months already. Time is of the essence.
