Support Kari's Recovery After Serious Accident

Hey friends, it’s Kari—

This isn’t something I ever imagined myself writing.

Two weeks ago, I was in a serious car accident while commuting to work. I’ve been out of work since, and now I’m facing surgery this Wednesday. I have no health insurance, no guaranteed income during recovery, and my savings are almost gone.

I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for many years. And if you know this industry, you know—benefits and insurance are rarely part of the job.

This injury has affected every part of my life—physically, emotionally, and financially. Without surgery and proper care, I may not be able to return to work. But even now, I’m doing everything I can to stay strong for my family. The bills don’t stop, and I need to keep food on the table for my kids.

• A vehicle to replace the one totaled in the crash
