It's every parent's worst nightmare to hear the words "your child has been in an accident". For those that are just finding out, our daughter, Karina Melkonian, was the passenger in a tragic motor vehicle accident on April 14th, which took the precious, young life of the driver, her best friend. It is an absolute miracle that Karina even survived this devastating crash. Following multiple surgeries and extensive therapy, Karina is still unable to walk. However, her medical team remains optimistic about her eventual full recovery. Her determination to return to Mass College of Pharmacy this coming September, where she dreams of becoming a pharmacist, underscores her unwavering spirit. She sees this second chance at life as a profound motivation to achieve her goals, in honor of herself and her beloved friend. We understand the preciousness of life like never before and cherish every moment. We are immensely grateful for the ongoing support and prayers extended during this incredibly difficult time.
