Meet Karin Phillips — beloved wife of 50 years to Bill, proud mom of 7, and adoring grandmother of 10. Karin is deeply loved by all who know her.

Karin suffers from an autoimmune disease that has caused cirrhosis of the liver, and she is now in desperate need of a transplant. She is on the transplant list at Emory Hospital and could receive the call for her new liver at any moment.

After surgery, Karin will need to stay in Atlanta, close to Emory, for at least two months. Recovery will include nearly daily hospital visits, therapy sessions, a specialized diet, and around-the-clock caregiving. In addition, she will face ongoing medical expenses, including a variety of prescriptions essential to her recovery.
