The family of Karim (Abdul Karim Muhammad) is seeking your support to help provide Karim a better quality of life.
May 25, 2022 Karim suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a ruptured brain aneurysm, while working-out at the gym. This traumatic brain injury resulted in 107 days of hospitalization, most of which was in the neurological intensive care unit. He suffered many setbacks while hospitalized, including 2 mini strokes in the back of the brain and cerebral fluid infections.
Currently, Karim is being treated at a rehabilitation hospital due to physical and cognitive challenges. He is currently undergoing intense physical, occupational and speech therapy.
When Karim is discharged to return home, required modifications must be made to the home, which are not covered by insurance. Some items, such as a stair lift and a walk-in tub, will help Karim to have a better quality of life and help him to regain his independence with activities of daily living.
