Hello my friends

I am Karim, a medical student from Gaza. Myself, along with family, loved ones, neighbors, friends and community members have all been suffering under the brutal and devastating occupation and it's relentless onslaught the last 18 months. We have lost everything in this war, from our home, clothes, any comforts we knew before the war, along with countless family members, loved ones and friends. We have been displaced and forced to move over 15 times. 566 days of relentless war have carved deep wounds into our souls. We are no longer who we were — we are the broken remnants of dreams, stitched together by pain and sheer will. Our childhoods were stolen, our futures bombed into dust, our memories stained with grief.

The sun rises each day not to bring hope, but only to reveal more ruins, more empty chairs at the table, more shattered walls where love once lived. Hunger claws at our stomachs, but it is the hunger for peace, for normalcy, for forgotten joys, that hurts even more.

We walk through the wreckage of our lives, carrying the invisible weight of loss on our backs - fathers, mothers, children, homes, songs, laughter - all turned into distant echoes. Every smile now feels like a betrayal to the sorrow that lives in our chests.

Yet somehow, even in this endless night, a small, stubborn ember of hope refuses to die. It flickers in the tears we wipe away. It trembles in the prayers we whisper. It hides in the dreams we dare not speak aloud dreams of a day when the sky will no longer rain fire, when our land will bloom again, and when our hearts will finally remember how to heal. These dreams are what keep us going and give us hope for the future and tomorrow. A future of safety and peace and healing. This time, I ask you to help me build my future and achieve my dream. After I lost my dream and my scholarship in Germany, I registered in Egypt to study medicine at Alexandria University.

I am now a student at Alexandria University in Egypt, waiting for the crossing to open so that I can travel to Egypt to complete my university studies to become a doctor and help others as I dream.

I need you to stand with me in helping me complete my educational path. I need help to pay tuition fees and university fees to the university.
