Hey, it's your girl Kariah! (Kariah like Mariah) I never thought at age 26 something like this would happen to me. I was having knee pain for some time now. I was told to elevate and ice my knee. The doctors figured it could have been some type of torn ligament, but it wasn't. Finally, one day of having unbearable pain and fluid in the knee, it was drained and tested for an infection. However, the fluid tested negative for an infection but positive for a blood cancer.
February 7th, 2025, is the day I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). It's a blood disorder (cancer) that is treatable and curable. However, it has affected me tremendously. Losing my job has been one of the casualties. I cannot work. I have been advised to refrain from working during my treatment course. The side effects of chemotherapy can be significant and varied, including fatigue, nausea, vomiting, poor appetite, malaise, activity intolerance, and an increased risk of infection and bleeding due to low blood counts. These symptoms impact my ability to work and perform daily activities. Consequently, this will affect my financial capacity.
My life has changed, and as I'm still processing my diagnosis, this has burdened me with new stresses. I'm not able to take care of myself. I am behind on bills and will most likely have to leave the comfort of my home. I feel like I'm losing everything, but I know there is a GOD! I want to kick this cancer's butt. I know I can't do it all by myself; I need your help. Whatever you can give will be appreciated.
If you would like to give directly my Cashapp is $Kariah98
