Hello, all - the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles have made national news, with images showing neighborhood after neighborhood razed by fire.

This GoFundMe is here to support the Weaver family, my dear friend Kari and her three kids, who had minutes to evacuate their home on Tuesday and now have no home to go back to.

While Kari has started that process of navigating the insurance guantlet, she needs short term support to get the kids back to their activities, school, and the basic comforts of a childhood home - including getting the family back under one roof.

While it will take years to rebuild the house, Kari and her children can create a warm, safe home together with our help. Kari's interior design business, rooted in the Palisades community, will take time to recover, but she is dedicating herself to getting her children settled and supporting her neighbors.

I've known Kari since my earliest days in Los Angeles more than 20 years ago, when we worked together at Mattel. She works hard at everything she does, loves her children fiercely, and is currently making a fantastic roomate, but the sooner we can help her into a place she can live with her kiddos, the better. Any help you can provide would make a huge difference to this family.
