If you knew Robert “Robbie” Adelberg, chances are you laughed with him — and probably at a joke that made you feel “comfortably uncomfortable” in the best way. Robbie, or “The Judy” as many called him, was hilariously funny, endlessly curious, and truly a one-of-a-kind friend. He could make you laugh until you cried, pull you into the weirdest mushroom-hunting story, or share a DMV tale from his time as a driving instructor that you’d never forget. He always had the best memes, and a way of making people feel instantly loved and included.
Robbie was cherished most for his heart. He never hesitated to help someone in need, and he had a rare ability to connect with anyone, anywhere. Everyone who met him felt it: Robbie was magnetic.
He leaves behind his wife of many years, Kari Vanzant — a devoted wife, an incredible friend, and someone who has spent her career helping children find their voices as a speech therapist. Kari now faces this devastating loss, along with the weight of funeral expenses and the uncertainty of the months ahead.
We’re asking for help to support Kari during this painful time — to honor Robbie’s memory by showing her the same love and generosity that he so freely gave to others.
If you are able, please consider donating or sharing. Your support will go directly toward helping Kari through this difficult time, and honoring Robbie’s life and legacy.
