Support Karen's Recovery Journey

Karen Stauffer, my beloved partner of 20 years, has been facing an incredibly challenging journey. She fell gravely ill, leading to a prolonged hospitalization of 46 days and counting. Her condition involved severe heart issues, organ failures, and a blood infection, necessitating the use of an ECMO machine, dialysis, and intubation for several weeks. Unfortunately, complications led to the loss of blood flow to her right leg, resulting in amputation.

Despite the odds, Karen has shown remarkable resilience and is slowly recovering. She has undergone a tracheostomy, feeding tube installation, and is now dealing with a wound vacuum pump. Her journey to recovery includes rehabilitation, nursing care, and adapting to life as an amputee. Mental health support will also be crucial as she navigates these changes.

During this time, I have had to leave my job to be by her side, which has impacted our financial stability. We are seeking support to cover medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and monthly finances as Karen works towards regaining her health and mobility.
