My name is Karen and I had weight loss surgery March 22nd and by March 31st I had an emergency surgery to remove 5 inches of my intestines due to a hernia that caused gangrene. The contrast I was given for a CT scan shut down my kidneys and put me into Afib.

Through this process I have lost strength in my legs and feet, which isn’t allowing me to move. I was sent to rehab on April 11th. Unfortunately, my insurance sent me home Sunday and is not willing to cover anymore expenses. I have been admitted back into the hospital and I am needing to go back to rehab, but it is all going to be out of pocket. I’m not sure how long I will need rehab, but I can say I’m ready to get better and get back home!

I hate to ask for money or even help, but I have exhausted other ways. Any donation will help and I cannot say thank you enough. This has been a long journey but I’m praying it will soon end with the remaining of rehab that I need.
