Hello, my name is Karen and I am in dire need of a car. The car I have is not drivable and it needs over $4,000 worth of repairs, including a new transmission. I'm reaching out to you all in hopes of receiving help to repair it or obtain another vehicle. A car will significantly help transform the quality of my life.

The money that you donate will go specifically to repairing this one or getting a better, reliable vehicle, as well as assisting with paying for medical expenses that aren't covered by insurance. My medical issues require me to attend appointments often. I am on social security and cannot take on any debt. I have severe End Stage Osteoarthritis in both knees and suffer from bow-legged deformity. I have had four knee surgeries and I currently require a double knee replacement. Walking is extremely difficult and painful for me. The deformity has made me prone to falling due to imbalance. I have other more serious medical issues that need to be addressed before I can consider surgery on my knees. Walking, even with a cane or walker, is extremely painful and my gait is still unsteady due to the erosion and grinding of my bones with every step I take.

In addition to the osteoarthritis, I have a polyp in my gallbladder which may require surgery soon. I recently learned that my kidneys aren't functioning properly also. My limited mobility has resulted in me becoming isolated in my home, which is very depressing. I want to get back to and feel like I'm living and not just existing.
