Our friend Karen is battling breast cancer again. Karen’s treatment plan includes a long stretch of chemotherapy, followed by surgery and potentially radiation. She is entering a challenging six-month period where each step will be physically and financially demanding.

Despite good insurance, the costs associated with Karen’s treatment are high. Co-pays for medications, biopsies, and medical appointments have drained her savings.
