Support Karen's Legal Battle to Bring Her Dogs Home

Karen is a fantastic, caring preservation breeder who needs your help getting her dogs back! Please help with the money she needs for legal fees to get back all of the dogs she loves so much. They are her legacy and were DECEPTIVELY taken from her!

They arrived at her home, lied, and took advantage of Karen's lack of knowledge of the law. They tricked her into signing surrender papers and took 27 of her dogs! Animal control has never been to her house, she never had a warning. They gave no time for Karen to comply before taking her dogs, her legacy she has worked so hard to build. It was illegal because they gained access by deception. The officer told Karen she knew people with her dogs and they spoke very highly of her. She claimed that she wanted to help the dogs because there no way Karen could properly care for 34 dogs. This is NOT true! Karen had been caring for them properly! Karen knew when anything was wrong with them. She knows all of her dogs in and out. They are her life, some of the seized dogs even slept in her bed. They assured Karen that this would stay quiet. THEY LIED! The rescue who has them currently posted the dogs with their names! They even wrote on the post that she shows, so you might know the dogs that they are in possession of. They are claiming animal cruelty. Not once was cruelty mentioned to Karen when they were at her house. She was operating without a kennel license, and had 34 dogs in crates. It was just after breakfast, they hadn't been let back out yet. Every dog had their own individual crate and a full water bucket. All of dogs were in good condition and well cared for. If anything they are a bit overweight which is why a few were being fed RX food.

Where she lives, there are NO laws saying how many dogs are acceptable. There is NOT a law that mandates animals be spayed/neutered. Karen was not aware that a kennel license was needed based on the information provided before she bought this house 5 years ago. She was told she didn't need a license unless someone complained.

She had NO warning. Karen has never had any complaints in 5 years! They refused to give her time and required immediate cooperation while threatening to call the police. They illegally swindled Karen into letting them take her dogs!

They have put Karen's puppies at risk for illness by bringing them into a kennel environment when they were too young to be fully vaccinated. They are subjecting all the dogs to airborne illness. Karen was told that if she cooperated she wouldn't be arrested and no criminal charges would be filed. Because this was a new and extremely scary and emotional situation Karen didn't realize she I had the right to say NO, come back with a warrant. We need to help her raise the money for a fantastic lawyer who can get her dogs back!
