Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Supporters,
My name is Claude Castaneda, and I am reaching out with heartfelt hope and vulnerability to ask for your support. My beloved mother, Karen Claudia Castaneda, was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a devastating diagnosis that has turned our world upside down.
My mother has always been a beacon of love, strength, and selflessness. She has dedicated her life to caring for others, nurturing our family with unwavering warmth and resilience. Now, as she faces the toughest fight of her life, it is my turn to care for her with the same love and strength she has always shown me.
As her only son, I am doing everything I can to support her. I am currently working as a nurse in the UK, I just started working here for less than a year, striving to balance my responsibilities abroad while grappling with the emotional and financial weight of my mother’s illness back home in the Philippines. Despite my best efforts, the mounting medical expenses for her intensive chemotherapy treatments, medications, and hospital visits are becoming overwhelming, and I cannot shoulder this burden alone.
My mother has been my rock, especially after the heartbreaking loss of my father three years ago. Through her grief, she remained steadfast and strong for me. Now, I am determined to be her strength, but I need your help to ensure she receives the care she urgently needs to fight this disease.
Every donation, no matter how big or small will go directly toward my mother’s medical treatments and recovery. Your support will help cover hospital stays, medications, and essential treatments that give her the best chance at overcoming leukemia.
If you are unable to contribute financially, your prayers, positive thoughts, and sharing this fundraiser with your community mean more than words can express. Every act of kindness brings us closer to hope and healing.
From the bottom of our hearts, my mother and I thank you for your compassion, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
Claude and Karen
