My name is Karen, and for years I’ve made my living hauling horses on the road. Recently, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with cancer. I’ve already undergone one surgery and am now preparing for another, all while juggling appointments at multiple hospitals. Unfortunately, I don’t have health insurance, which has made this journey even more overwhelming.
People who know me know that I’ve always been there to help others. I’ve organized fundraisers for friends facing cancer, and I’ve always been the person who never asks for anything but instead gives and helps. I’ve helped so many kids learn to ride horses and allowed them to compete with mine, often putting myself on the sidelines. I’m the kind of person who puts others above myself, but at this time, I’m the one asking for help.
Because of my medical issues, I’ve been unable to work as much and keep up with my usual routine. The financial strain is growing as I try to manage mounting medical bills, travel costs for appointments, and everyday living expenses. It’s been difficult to ask for help, but I know I can’t do this alone.
Any support would mean the world to me as I navigate this challenging time. Whether you’re able to donate or simply share my story, your kindness and encouragement will make a real difference. Thank you for being part of my community and for helping me find hope on this road to recovery.
