My mother, Karen, was recently diagnosed with stage 1 grade 2 invasive lobular carcinoma breast cancer. I’ve created this account to assist her while she goes through treatment and surgery. This is a more uncommon type of breast cancer that’s usually not found in such early stages, but luckily hers was.

Her first step in treatment is going to be a double mastectomy. This unfortunately is going to be a long recovery process. Afterwards, she will begin chemotherapy for the next year.

Any and all help is so very much appreciated. My mom is such a hard worker and loves her job very much, but with her course of treatment, she will most likely be missing a good bit of work in the months to come.
