Support Karen on Her Road to Recovery

Dear friends and family,

I’m reaching out to you all on behalf of my cousin, Karen Salinas, who suffered severe 2nd degree burns due to a propane fire pit accident on Labor Day. She’s currently being treated at UNC Hospital, where she’s receiving excellent care, but the road to recovery will be long and costly.

As a dedicated small business owner of Aphrodite Wax Studio, Karen has always been independent and hardworking. However, this unexpected accident has left her facing extensive medical bills and time away from her independently owned business. She will be taking on these medical costs on her own, and as anyone who’s faced a serious injury knows, these expenses can quickly become overwhelming.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease her financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. The funds raised will go directly to covering:

Medical bills and treatments

Rehabilitation and therapy

Living expenses while she’s unable to work

Me dirijo a ustedes en nombre de mi prima, Karen Salinas, quien sufrió graves quemaduras de segundo grado debido a un accidente con un fogón de gas. Actualmente está recibiendo tratamiento en el Hospital UNC, donde está siendo atendida excelentemente, pero el camino hacia su recuperación será largo y costoso.

Como dueña dedicada del pequeño negocio Aphrodite Wax Studio, Karen siempre ha sido independiente y trabajadora.
