Support Karen Lopez's Family After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
Karen Lopez, her mother, and kids lost their home and community in the Eaton fire this week. Karen Lopez, a mother of four and an incredibly hard-working production office staff member in film and television, was already hit hard by the strikes and work stoppage in Los Angeles. But losing all her and her family's possessions in the Eaton Canyon fire has been completely shocking and devastating. Karen's apartment was called "Eaton Canyons," right at the base of the canyon, and has been red-tagged as unlivable.

Karen was given a 10-minute warning the night the fire started to grab what she could and get her family (her mother and kids) to safety. Karen's mother has pulmonary fibrosis, and finding a safe place to live, where her mother will be able to breathe, is Karen's utmost priority. Karen's family dog, Nova, is currently in a shelter while her family is temporarily lodged using an Airbnb credit that runs out at the end of the month.
If you've worked with Karen, you know how resilient and hard-working she is. The funds will go toward securing a safe place to rehouse her family while Karen assesses the loss and figures out the next steps toward restoring a permanent, livable home. Thanks for any amount you can donate to help her accomplish this.
This fundraiser was started by Jackie Ryan, one of Karen's former bosses, and is a legitimate fundraiser with Karen as the beneficiary. 100% of funds raised go to the Lopez family!
