Support Karen Henry's Fight Against Cancer

I am Bill Bolander and I work with Jason and Karen at Jerry's Auto Group. I love the Henry family...who doesn't?!?! So I asked the family if I could create a GoFundMe page to help them with the numerous medical bills they are receiving during Karen's fight with cancer. This is from Karen's daughter, Megan, who will also keep us up to date with Karen's fight:

Just before her favorite time of the year, Christmas, Mom had to be taken to the hospital for shortness of breath and chest pains. After many tests, we got the unfortunate news that she had a mass the size of a soda can on her right lung, and it was lung cancer. Shortly after this diagnosis, after a PET scan, we received the news that the cancer had metastasized to her pelvis bone, and she was considered as someone with stage 4 lung cancer. She took the news the best as anyone could, and she was determined she was going to fight this battle. She received her first chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment on February 17th, and it was extremely difficult for her. After weeks of not feeling any better and no quality of life, we decided she needed to be seen again.

This past Friday, March 7th, we went to see the oncologist and were sent to the ER because Mom’s blood pressure was extremely low and overall health was poor. After many tests and scans, they found an ulcer in her stomach that was causing her extreme pain and making it so that she could not eat. She was so extremely ill she needed fluids and two blood transfusions to finally make her feel better. She will have an endoscopy and biopsy done of the ulcer in her stomach, and we hope and pray it does not come back as cancer too. My parents are enduring hefty medical bills, and because of her illness, she hasn’t been able to work. My dad has also had to cut his hours so that he can stay home with her. My mom is a fighter, and as she likes to say, she has “hutzpah” and will give this awful disease the fight of her life. My mom is so loved by so many but no more than her grandchildren, and she is their world. Her goal for beating this disease is to get back to being the best MomMom she can be for her grandbabies. Anything you could donate to take some stress from my parents and let them focus on just beating this disease would be greatly appreciated.
