From gracing the stages of Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl to her four seasons on camera as the Cellist on the TV show Glee, Karen Hall boasts a diverse resume as a classical musician. But she's so much more!

Since 2023, she's performed her acclaimed, one-woman show, Delusions & Grandeur, at fringe festivals around the world in Los Angeles, London, San Diego, Sydney, Melbourne and Vancouver—and she did this entirely on her own.

This August, she's taking her show to the biggest performance arts festival in the world, Edinburgh Fringe, and I'm looking to our community for some financial support. Karen was scouted to perform at Summerhall—one the best venues at the festival—and she has a UK producer, but even so, Edinburgh Fringe is a costly commitment for artists who are required to pay up front for their venue.

I first met Karen in 2013 in an improv class (so LA!), and I was immediately impressed by her constant drive to diversify and better herself as an artist. Back then, she already had the chops as a professional cellist and a music educator, but in the 12 years since we've met, she's leveled-up in the improv community and the clown community. That's right, Karen is also a clown. Delusions & Grandeur is a combination of all of these talents, where she skillfully juggles between a cello recital, a clown show, and an incredibly personal story about the struggles of being a live performer. (She also juggles, literally.)
