Kara DeNicola is a dedicated medical sonographer and radiographer living in Raleigh, NC, who is known for her compassion and commitment to helping others.
This week, Kara was involved in a serious motorcycle accident and is currently undergoing surgery in Concord, NC. She suffered a traumatic injury, including a broken femur, and has already faced emergency medical transportation, multiple blood transfusions, and complex surgical care.
Kara has ALWAYS been the first to show up for others, whether it’s in the hospital caring for patients, or in her personal life, offering support and encouragement to friends and loved ones. She’s also an OCB Pro Bikini Bodybuilder, gymnast, and certified coach in nutrition, sleep, and stress management... not to mention a devoted dog mom to her beloved dogs Bella and Rocky. When Bella recently passed, Kara stayed by her side through every moment of pain and immobility, caring for her with the same devotion, love, and dignity she shows to everyone in her life. Now, it's our turn to show up for her.
Due to the extent of her injuries, Kara will be unable to work while in the hospital and recovering. The financial burden of this accident is overwhelming and includes:
• Emergency transportation and hospital care
• Surgery and blood transfusions
• Post-op treatment and medications
• Physical therapy and mobility aids
• Living expenses while she’s out of work
While Kara’s friends are doing all they can to support her locally, her immediate family living in New York adds an emotional layer to an already difficult journey. This fundraiser was created not only to ease the financial strain, but to surround Kara with the love and support she has always given so freely to others.
Kara would never ask for help herself, so we’re asking for her.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in her recovery. And if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign to help spread the word.
Thank you for showing Kara the same compassion and care she’s always shown to others. Let’s rally around her now, when she needs it most.
With love and gratitude,
Kara's Friends
