Support Kara's Mission to Heal Her Sister

Hello all, my name is Kara Iribarren and I am creating this fundraiser for my sister Kendra.

My sister was diagnosed with NET carcinoid tumors in her late twenties. I have seen her lose her life and let go of all of her dreams. When she was first diagnosed, she was so full of life. She had completed cosmetology school and she was working on earning her massage license with dreams of opening her own health spa someday. My sister was always the sunshine in the room, always the life of the party. She never met a stranger and truly treated everyone with kindness. She was and still is full of laughter.

One evening at massage school, she fainted and was rushed to the emergency room. Then everything completely changed. She was diagnosed with this rare disease that no one knew anything about. She had her first surgery where part of her colon was removed, and she began monthly octreotide injections. She suffered for a decade with chronic diarrhea, chronic pain, and extreme fatigue. Then they finally decided to give her a permanent colostomy bag and a hysterectomy so that she could at least be rid of some symptoms. This gave her hope, and she began to feel a bit better, but then started to get repeated infections in her ureters. It turns out a clamp had been left on her ureter during surgery. They eventually performed another surgery to relocate her kidney. There have been many ER visits and other surgeries that I can't remember. She went from a life full of hope and passion to a life of hospital visits and no promising answers.

Now her tumors continue to grow and have spread all over her body. She receives monthly octreotide injections that make her sick for about a month. She carries around her own mini injections because if she exerts herself a little too much, she will get a "carcinoid crisis" attack and have to inject herself. Her condition is so bad that she has to take an extra injection every day now. The doctors have no answers. They think the injections are keeping the tumors from growing faster, but they are not stopping them. I personally don't know how she keeps going. She is an inspiration!

I am the older sister, Virgo, and health nut, so as you can imagine, I have had my own struggle accepting her condition. At some point, I accepted that I could not fix this for my baby sister. I gave up and I started working on accepting that our time was limited. But now I have renewed hope and I will not give up!

I just spent a week at the advanced retreat with Dr. Joe Dispenza working on my own healing, and I now see the power we all have to heal. I heard so many stories of healing from conditions like my sister's. I spent hours on the phone with her explaining everything. I told her that I gave up on trying to push my ideas on everyone long ago and I would not be coming home trying to convince anyone to attend the retreat because I know they will find it when they are ready.

But my sister, Kendra, is ready! I will do whatever it takes to get her there and support her on this journey. She is already so gifted and powerful intuitively. I know 100% she can heal!

So I'm creating this fundraiser to ask our great community for a little assistance. She lives off $600 a month disability. It would take her years to save up the money for a retreat.

I'm asking for her, for myself, for my children, and our family. Please help me get her there. Let's help her get her life back and watch her on that stage sharing her story of healing and transformation! Let's start the miracle now!

Every little bit helps. I set the goal for the cost of the retreat ticket and a hotel room as I don't know how long it will take to know where she will have to travel to. If you all can help with this, I will make sure she gets there.
