Hello, everyone! My name is Alicia Henry, and I am raising funds for a dear friend, Kara Castle.

Kara is one of the brightest lights I know, with a heart of gold. Aptly, she is a therapist at a local nonprofit that supports women. In September 2024, Kara was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, a diagnosis that turned her life upside down. And yet, she has moved through treatment with remarkable grace and courage. Her community has learned so much from the strength, resilience, and spirit with which she has navigated such turbulent times.

Kara continues on her path to healing, and her journey is not over yet. She is now preparing for reconstructive surgery beginning April 21. This will be surgery number two of three, and she expects an eight-week recovery.

The medical costs of the past two years have been staggering, along with the many “invisible” expenses that continue to add up. Donating to Kara’s GoFundMe will help cover all treatment costs as she focuses on getting back to her healthy life.
