With profound sorrow, we share the passing of Matthew Krause—a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. After courageously battling chronic pancreatitis for over fifteen years, Matthew passed peacefully, surrounded by love in the company of his soulmate and wife, Kara.

Matthew’s strength was matched only by his kindness. He faced each day with resilience, warmth, and an unshakable belief in the beauty of life. Even through the pain and countless hospital visits, he never lost his joy for conversation or his passion for creating wonder. He had a passion for life and an extraordinary gift for turning strangers into friends.

Matthew leaves behind his devoted wife Kara, four incredible children—Branna, Mackenzie, Cody, and Mattie—two cherished grandchildren, and countless friends whom he considered family.

As we celebrate his life, we are also faced with the difficult reality of covering his final expenses. Due to his long-term disability, Matthew was unable to work, and he and Kara lived simply and modestly. Any support you can offer during this time of grief would go directly toward easing the financial burden on Kara and honoring Matthew’s memory with the dignity he deserves.
