On August 4, 2024, Kanisha suffered a tragic incident and lost her life. Kanisha, aged 38, wore many hats and made many accomplishments, but of them all, she was most proud of being a phenomenal mother to her three beautiful daughters: Ilaiya (aged 12), Jaleyah (aged 5), and KaMauri (just 1 month old).

Anyone who knew her knows that she did not hesitate to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. She was the most loving, genuine person you could've ever met. And she didn't meet any strangers. Her smile, her personality, her love for people (especially her friends and family), her ambition and motivation was unmatched. And she made sure to push you and helped to celebrate every win.

Kanisha had just given birth to a baby girl, born prematurely just weeks before her death. After spending about a month in the NICU, the baby was able to go home with her family, which Kanisha was elated about.
