Help me help my dog Kane, combat (PLE)

Hello, my name is Michele and I’m asking for donations to help with the cost of my dog Kane, hospital/medical bill. Hospital bill is already $11,000 and growing.

Kane is my 10lb male Yorkie, who is loving, sweet, and full of life. Those that know Kane, also know he is my heart. He has had other health challenges in the past, but nothing like the diagnosis I received from the Hospital the other day.

I took Kane to the vet due to his weakness in his hind legs and twitching in his body. After receiving the bloodwork, the vet called me and said Kane’s protein level was dangerously low and I need to take him to the ER.

Kane was admitted and diagnosed with (PLE) Protein-losing enteropathy. PLE is a group of diseases that cause protein loss from the blood into the GI tract. It can affect various breeds and have different causes, such as lymphatic, GI, or heart diseases. Kane also had two polyps near his rectal. Fluid leaked into his lungs and stomach. Lungs were totally filled.

Due to Kane’s condition, doctor was not sure he would make it thru the night after providing testing and other medical assistance to him. His breathing was not good. Overnight Kane’s breathing got a little better, but hospital are still providing oxygen to him as he still needs more help.

Never in my life would I have thought that I would be doing a Gofundme, but when you had a dog since he was 2 months and now 11 years old; they are family and you want them to be well and enjoy the remainder of their life. You love them with all your heart and will try to help them. I’m hoping Kane gets out the hospital this week.
