Hi everyone,

My name is Laura Olsen and I want to engage you in rallying support for our young nephew Kane and his family.

Kane is a kind, athletic and bright 13 year old kid who loves to play hockey. On March 16th Kane woke up with crippling abdominal pain. ER staff quickly recognized the need for specialty care and he was rushed to Victoria. March 17th Kane underwent life-saving abdominal surgery and was transferred to ICU for recovery. He is fighting multiple complications post op and, undoubtedly, has a long recovery ahead of him. His Mom, Chelsea and Dad, Eric have been at his side in Victoria for every twist and turn. Kane's twin brother and little sister remain at home with family in Port Alberni.

Time away from work, travel and the expenses of staying out of town mean additional stress for Kane's family as they navigate this critical stage of his recovery.
