Support Kamryn's Journey to Health and Hope

Hello friends, family, coworkers, and supporting community. Our daughter, Kamryn, was born in Jan 2023; a short 6 months later, she started grabbing and itching at her neck. After it continued for a couple of weeks, Kamryn was brought to the doctor. Immediately, there was concern because a lump had developed. She underwent all kinds of tests in the days following. Within a week of bringing Kamryn to the doctors, we got earth-shattering news... our daughter has Lymphoma... yes, cancer.

Since Kamryn’s diagnosis, we have met with some of the best doctors specializing in infant/toddler cancer treatment and recovery. Even though we have the best doctors on our daughter’s Oncology team, the good news stops there. We were informed by the group of doctors in unanimous concurrence that operating is not an option because Kamryn's cancer tumor is wrapped in veins, and there is a high chance that attempting to remove the tumor could cause her to bleed to death. They also informed us that chemo isn’t an option because she is too young. Our course of action as prescribed by our doctors was to... wait... let her grow, it grow, in the hopes that the veins will spread enough so the doctors can remove the tumor.

Fast forward 1 year, Kamryn is growing healthily. She’s extremely smart and independent to the point you forget she has lymphoma. That was until late August, early September of this year. Kamryn’s tumor has now grown from 3.2 cm to 4.0cm and is causing her to have seizures now. These seizures are something we have been told that she will have to live with until they are able to remove the tumor. To make things the absolute worst, our daughter had a seizure last month. As we rushed her into the ER, the nurses took her from us and hurried us away. Within 30 seconds of the ER doors closing behind us, a frantic call of “CODE WHITE” was called out... pediatric medical emergency... our daughter coded that night. Since then, she’s been released, and our team of doctors has informed us that her tumor is in the same status it was a year ago... we just have to wait.

We have started a fundraiser and this GoFundMe in hopes to ease the financial burden side to this story. While hoping we stay close in your hearts and prayers, we ask that if you can help, you do, and if you can’t, to please forward and share so that Kamryn’s story is heard and childhood cancer awareness is brought to attention.
