On July 28th, 2024, our 11-year-old son Kamrin had an accident in a public bathroom that resulted in him having two severe lacerations totaling in 19cm, slicing through the upper and lower parts of his glute muscle and other tendons. This required him to be transported to McKay-Dee hospital via ambulance. While in the emergency room, the doctors tried to clean and sterilize the lacerations but were unsuccessful due to the severity and depth of these lacerations. The ER doctors referred Kamrin to their on-call plastic surgeon, where Kamrin had to undergo an additional procedure in which he received 8 layers of stitches.
Kamrin is an 11-year-old boy who is energetic, extremely athletic, a loving big brother, and an amazing sportsman. With his passion being full contact football, Kamrin will need to receive 12 weeks of extensive Sport Physical Therapy and an additional 3 months of prescriptive exercise program in order to get back to his full potential. Kamrin has been training diligently to get to where he is today. Due to this unfortunate event, he will be potentially missing his first season of full contact football in 6 years due to the severity of his injuries. In order for him to be able to participate in the upcoming off-season training, 7v7 tournaments, and future full contact football seasons at his full potential.
We are looking for help to make sure Kamrin gets physical therapy to get him back to his normal self. All his medical needs aren’t covered and we are hitting our max with medical bills. We are seeking assistance to help cover the remainder of his expenses. All money raised will go directly to the doctors, therapists and equipment . Please help us make his recovery possible.
