****UPDATE****

So far I have made it through 80% of chemo treatments (body couldn't tolerate more). Surgery went well and scars are healing. Currently undergoing daily radiation treatments and I'm on medical leave. Received letter that my SHORT TERM DISABILITY CLAIM WAS DENIED. No money coming in despite me paying disability insurance. . Neuropathy in my hands is unreal. Pain wakes me up at night. I'm unable to do much with my hands ( even motorcycle riding is a problem ). I have bunch of testing scheduled to figure out a solution. As of now my work return date is set for August. However if the pain continues, that date will have to be significantly postponed.

I'm not good with words, nor do I want to bore people, so let me get right to the point.

My life has taken a drastic turn off track sometime in October. I was diagnosed with triple negative, invasive carcinoma (an aggressive form of breast cancer). I was lucky enough to start treatment fast; however, paying medical bills from a hospital bed is not as easy as I'd like it to be. Went from nurse, taking care of patients to being a patient and i don't like it not one bit. Even with two insurance sources, the bills are piling up fast. I have good chances of beating this one, though the reoccurrence rate for this particular type of cancer is ridiculous. Not the path I would have chosen for myself......
